Getting to La Palma
There are frequent flights to La Palma airport from many European cities. The airport code for La Palma is SPC or GCLA, some travel agents are not familiar with La Palma and may confuse it with Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) or La Palma (Majorca). The are also flights between La Palma and other islands in the canarian archipelago (Most international flights use Tenerife South airport, whilst the Tenerife/La Palma flights use the north airport, so you may need to travel between the two airports).
There are daily ferries between La Palma’s main port in Santa Cruz de La Palma and the port of Los Christianos in Tenerife.
Getting to Casa del Riachuelo
A hire car is recommended.
From the main airport the drive to Casa del Riachuelo, as the journey progresses you will leave behind the main populated centres of the island and head to the rural and unspoilt north. The roads in La Palma are good but some care is needed as there are many sharp bends.
Taxis are available, but due to the distance it is best to get a price beforehand.
There are no buses that serve Casa del Riachuelo, and the nearest stop is 2Km from the cottage.
